Oil in evaporator

Technical information Industrial Oil control in evaporators

Oil control evaporators

Compressor lubricating oil is flowing around the system with refrigerant. It is important that this oil is returned to the compressor, but it can come out of solution with the refrigerant in the evaporator. Oil control evaporators, so the important question. In order to maintain optimal performance of the system, it is important that the oil is not allowed to gather in the evaporator where it will coat pipes and reduce heat transfer.

In evaporators direct expansion adequate refrigerant speed should be retained to carry oil via the pipe and the suction and, thus, return it to the compressor on all load conditions. With flooded evaporators oil can be removed if necessary method will depend on the refrigerant...
