Refrigerating Systems. Water-cooled condensers
Water-cooled condensers are many different types as shown in Fig. 3.17. The most common capacitors, as a rule, shell-and-tube heat exchangers with the refrigerant flow through the shell and water (cooled) flow through the tubes (type of SST in Fig. 3.17). The lower part of the shell acts as a liquid. These capacitors are widely used in the large heat capacity of the cooling and cooling applications. If the chilled water is used, the following criteria should be considered:
The requirement of water cooling to dissipate the heat Use of cooling towers, if inexpensive cooling water Requirement auxiliary pumps and pipelines for circulating cooling water, The requirement of water in water recirculation systems, Space requirements Maintenance and service the situation, and Protect against freezing substances and tools for work in the winter. In General, water-cooled condensers are used tower or ground water (wells. lakes, rivers and other).
