Ducting
Textile air distribution, or " air socks"as they are affectionately called, are still new to many in the industry, although they were long ago. Through strategically located injectors or holes in specially selected materials practically the whole range of air distribution requirements can be satisfied for heating, cooling and ventilation, with remarkable results. Ducts can ensure an even distribution of air throughout the room, and can be done very interesting and pleasant to the eye saw at the gym example in Fig. 24.19, where colour and lighting carefully coordinated. Cold room applications for good air distribution meat carcasses can be seen on Fig. 16.2.
Advantages of textile air ducts are plentiful and include freedom from drafts, quiet operation, low installed cost, removable for laundering, low weight, of various shapes and colors that can be changed during the conversion process...
