Room Hot Gas Bypass Valves
There are two types of hot gas bypass valves:
- Solenoid, the timer on theoff thermostat.
- Electromagnetic pi many Opera Ted pressure valve, the timer on theoff thermostat.
If the die evaporator not defrosdng, check dmer. If it is not running, identify problems and to repair or replace. If working properly, set the timer to the On position. Then check the hot gas line. If it does not become warm, check the electrical circuit using a voltmeter. This will determine whether the power of the electromagnet.
If the timer is defective check points. If they are corroded, replace them. If the coil is faulty, replace it. To determine the status, disconnect the wires off. Then check that the open circuit or garden. If the valve sticking, rap body of the valve. Note whether or not this acdon allows hot gas Lines. If the spool hung, the valve must be replaced.
To replace the valve, the refrigerant must be recovered from the system. (The valve is connected to the high side and the low side.) Load balance. Remove the valve and install a new one. Check the system for leaks, evacuation, and recharge.
