Refrigerator and Freezer Management

Automatic refrigerating and air-conditioning is designed to provide accurate temperature with the least attention. For the production of these temperatures under any conditions, refrigerating unit need more power than usual. This unit may be put in the refrigerator or overheat if he ran all the time.

In the Northern temperate latitudes, domestic refrigeration units will employ 35% to 40% of the time. In subtropical latitudes, units will work about 50% of the time. Household refrigerators usually work for 5 to 10 minutes and standby 10 to 20 minutes.

Most manufacturers design their units, to work with only 8 to 14 hours out of every 24. This is about 40% of the time on average. 14-hour working time is based on average use of the Cabinet. The environment (ambient) temper hi're also affects the work. Refrigerator in the room at the 95F (35C) will last longer than a similar refrigerator, working in the room for 75F (24CC). The frost-free and some automatic defrosting refrigerators can work longer and more often than plain old styles.

Defrosting adds energy to the heat load.

A household refrigerator, cupboards, as a rule, have a temperature range from 35F and 45F (1.7C and 7.2C). Adjusting the engine control allows the owner to select the desired temperature within this range.

Food freezers, as a rule, are intended for operation from 5-30 F toF (415C to 34.4C). Motor controls must be designed to power the freezer to use. Most of these controls provide for temperature control in the range. The principle of the engine control used on food freezers exactly the same as that used in domestic refrigerators.
