On the low side of the float is effective, but simple, refrigerant management. Its task is to maintain a constant level of liquid refrigerant in the evaporator. The system is efficient heat transfer devices. Heat moves easily from the evaporator liquid refrigerant.
The float itself can be a sealed ball, cylinder, or an open pan. This is because leverage to needles or ball valves. This valve is closed when the liquid level reaches the correct height. The valve opens when some of the refrigerant evaporates and the liquid level falls.
On the low side of the float has a possible disadvantage of oil binding. The mechanism will swim in oil or liquid refrigerant. Special provisions should be made to return the excess oil in the compressor. This is done using a wick or small bypass on the surface of the liquid refrigerant. Additional refrigerant is stored in a liquid receiver.
Suction tube to these evaporators apply to the float chamber. With pan floats, it extends to the bottom of the pan. Cm. Fig. 5-46. This design provides a more positive return oil than float.
The low side of the float systems used in large industrial systems, and some systems of water cooling.
Thermostatic expansion valve (TRV) or the low side of the float can be used in several evaporating installations. On the low side of the float management also monitors the level of water in cooling towers, evaporative condensers and moisturizers...
