VIBRATION AND NOISE
It is not reasonable to expect that the build size of a screw compressor package that converts a large amount of energy into mechanical and fluid motion, to be whisper quiet. Responsible for the design and construction of a quiet package is imposed on the manufacturer and assembler, but the responsibility for the adequate Foundation or a Foundation, as a rule, under the control of the user. The major source of noise, as a rule, do not refer directly to the compressor, and most of the noises that may be obtained from the oil separator on the discharge line and motor. These components generate noise primarily due to the flow pulsation, which are characteristic of the screw compressor. Noise generation increases when there under or overcompression.
Designer, installer and the user are responsible for providing an adequate basis or cause of compressor installation. The predominant vibration frequency15 produced in screw compressor package share, passing frequencies from 200 to 600 Hz. These frequencies are high enough that the excess weight of the Fund is not necessary, but the Foundation must be able to support the full weight of the compressor package.
The floor must be at least 250 mm (6 in) thick that invested L - or J-type of anchor bolts. 250 mm (6 in) thick cleaning concrete pad on the top floor is recommended.
