Thermoelectric cooling
The passage of electric current through the intersections of dissimilar metals leads to decrease in temperature in one of the junctions and recovery in other, Peltier effect. Improvements in this method of cooling has become possible in recent years the production of semiconductors suitable. Applications are limited in size, due to high electrical currents, and the practical application of small cooling system for military, aerospace and laboratory use (Fig. 2.15).
