SCREW COMPRESSOR PACKAGES
Instead of buying naked compressor and installation of associated components in the field, screw compressor packages are almost universally Assembly factory. First of all, the packer chooses correctly matched components of the application. In addition, the Assembly in the factory, as a rule, provide better control than field Assembly.
Screw compressor package is shown in Fig. 5.33. The major components in a package, some of which are marked on the Figure. 5.33, are the compressor, motor, coupling, oil separator and the oil pump and filter. Microprocessor controller, also installed at the factory so that all control cables can be installed by experienced technicians. The oil separator is classified as a vessel, so it is equipped with safety valves. Suction line before the compressor is equipped in sequence with the suction shut-off valve, check valve, and, first of all compressor suction line filter.
