Evaporative condensers

While condenser/cooling tower organization requires a system of water pipes, is almost entirely absent in the evaporative condenser. Only enough water should be disseminated to ensure that the external surface of the condenser coils is entirely wet. Heat transfer exclusively latent, and less water is required to handle than is needed with condenser/cooling tower, where sensible heat transfer occurs in shell-and-tube condenser.

Evaporative condenser, thus, smaller and less expensive. She suffers from a lack of flexibility, and oil return and other problems demand that the capacitor should be not too far from the compressor. The tower, on the other hand, may be at a considerable distance, condenser, adjacent to the compressor.

Scaling pipe evaporative condenser may be something of a problem, especially if a high condensing temperature is used. Cleaning of the difficulties caused by the presence of scale, dirt and corrosion, and by the end of the nesting required for pipes (the use of fins impossible), significantly reduced the popularity of the evaporative condenser in recent years...
