The volume of capital investment in commercial refrigeration is hundreds of dollars. Since most of the mechanisms built, one system problem may cause others. It is important, therefore, that all commercial vehicles will be fully inspected. You must use a systematic way to do it. Thus, no detail will be overlooked. All inspections shoidd cover such things as: Electrical connections. Engine and safety devices. Compressor noise. The amount of refrigerant. Dryness of the refrigerant. The oil level. The flow of water. Gas leaks. Coil conditions. Stand pipes. Coil supports. Cleanliness.
For conventional condensing unit, you should check out:
- The state of the belt.
- Belt alignment.
- Belt tightness.
For the hermetic condensing unit, you should check out:
- Overload switch.
- The relay.
- Capacitors.
