Winds

You would think the wind flowed from an area of high pressure in one of the low pressure, following the most direct way. This is not so. There are essentially three things that combine to produce the General features of the wind flow around the world. This picture is complicated by local effects, such as the proximity of the land and the sea, the presence of the mountains and so on. However, three of the General effects:
  • the unequal heating of land and sea;
  • the deviation of the wind, because of forces arising from the rotation of the earth around its axis;
  • conservation of angular momentumfactor, arising from the linear velocity of the air in the low latitudes less than at higher latitudes.
General picture of the distribution of wind speed, consists in the following. Over the Equatorial regions weather form; hot zone is an area of very light and variable winds with frequent calms, cloudy sky and violent storms. These light and variable winds called " Depression'. Above and below the Hryvnia, up to 30 North and South, the trade winds blowing with considerable resistance, interrupted rare storms.

Land and sea breezes (mentioned above) also influences their behavior.

Above and below 30 latitude, how sub-polar, Westerlies blow. They are the result of three factors mentioned previously, but their behavior has a very strong effect on the development of the regions of low pressure is called the cyclones that produce storm familiar pattern in temperate zones. This is the influence of cyclonic means that the weather is much less predictable in temperate zones, if this town is very large mass of the earthfor example, in Asia or North America. In temperate zones, consisting of a mixture of Islands, broken coastline and the sea, in North-Western Europe, cyclonic weather is the rule, and long-term behavior is difficult to predict. All the matter is greatly complicated by the influence of warm and cold currents of water.
