HCFC use in the rac sector
HCFCs are widely used throughout the industrial and commercial refrigeration sector, including food processing, dissemination, storage and retail trade (shops and supermarkets). In Air conditioning, HCFCs have played a major role in the unitary-, split and chiller - type air-conditioning available in private homes, hotels, office buildings, restaurants and other public buildings.
R-22 is by far the most commonly used HCFCs in this sector. Other HCFCs, such as R-124 and R-123, were used in small quantities for special applications. Even HCFCs such as HCFC-141b and HCFC-142b were used as blowing agents refrigeration equipment isolation after the phase-out of CFCs, sometimes in a mixture of R-22.
