Underfloor systems

Room with a large fuel appliances such as computers with high heat load and require a high air flow to bear this heat. If the amount of air was distributed in the usual way, it would be unpleasant to draughty for driver and passengers.

Since computer cabinets standing on the floor, the General solution to blow cold air from the raised floor directly in cabinets, with a smaller amount being blown into the room to cope with other thermal loads. Climatic-floor mounted, taking the warm air from the top of the room and blowing it down in false floor (see Fig. 25.10).

Such units may use chilled water or direct expansion of the refrigerant and will have an air filter at the top. It may not be possible introduction of outside air through it, so that the number will be under pressure of filtered fresh air. Computer room units operate with a very high sensible heat ratio of 0.95, or more, so they have a large coil to keep the humidity near the dew point of the air of a premise...
