Technical information Industrial Lubricant Receiver

Grease Receiver

In some applications, oil separator is transmitted to the receiver oil radier than directly to sump or suction line. Oil is stored in die receiver until it is necessary for the replenishment level in the crankcase of the compressor. Oil from the receiver is measured in the crankcase of the compressor through the float valve, located in the compressor crankcase. Oil receiver contains a heating element that boils off to die liquid refrigerant and gives couples the suction line. Scheme of the system includes the following components.

Oil receivers operate at the same pressure as the suction line. Since the crankcase pressure is initially higher than the suction pressure, as a consequence of piston blow-by-oil may be forced to abandon the crankcase oil receiver when the compressor is started. To prevent this, tlie spacer compressors used in combination with oil receivers do not contain oil, non-return valve in their housings. Instead, crankcase heaters installed to prevent the refrigerant from the overload of oil during the off cycle. Heaters reduce the absorption of refrigerant in butter with foaming situation with oil is mixed refrigerants, eliminating the need for a control valve of oil channel.
