Car Cooling

Reefer wagons, long used for the transportation of perishable goods, often do not have a mechanical refrigeration. Car construction and insulating like a truck trailer. Two main types of cooling used in trains; transport-refrigerating and passenger car air conditioning.

As the truck cooling, there are four ways cargo cooling:

Mechanical (used exclusively for cars).
Chemical (expendable refrigerant).
The ice.
Dry ice.

Compressors in mechanical installations are usually driven from the automobile bridge while the cars are moving. The electric motor is used, while the cars stop, or keep it in railway depot. Some of the trains use of refrigeration systems absorption system. Others use steam jet systems...
