Many compressor units are designed to run with a low load (torque) condition, the low side and the high pressure side are equal (balanced). At equal pressures, allow the compressor to start without pressing against high pressure. Thus, the engine will require less torque. This can cause sweating, or freeze on the suction line. Also, dangerous liquid refrigerant slugging may occur in the compressor.
