Refrigerants HCFC

Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) molecules consisting of methane or ethane, in combination with halogen. It makes a new molecule that is considered partially halogenated.

On HCFCs, shorter life and cause less, depletion of the ozone layer than fully halogenated CFCs. So they cut the global warming potential. HCFC refrigerants such as R-22 and R-123 are treated as intermediate refrigerants. They will be used until suitable replacements are available, EPA requires the replacement of HCFCs by 2030...
