Technical information Air-Conditioning Air-Operated Humidifiers

Pneumatic Humidifiers

Pneumatic dampening units operate in the same way as electric installations, except that they use pneumatic humidistat as a regulator of humidity and the air operator to open or close steam valve (see Fig. 3-17). A decrease in the relative humidity increases the air pressure spring-loaded diaphragm to open the steam valve wider. Increase of the relative humidity reduces the pressure under the diaphragm and valve allows restrictions steam flow. The operation of this type of humidifier, steam supply is removed at the top of the header (see Fig. 3-18). Condensation is caused by the supply line is confounded humidifier drain partition inside the entrance humidifier separating chamber.

Any droplets of condensate, picked up the stream as it flows through the humidifier cap when the steam valve opens will be thrown to the bottom of the reevaporating chamber.

The pressure in the chamber, in fact atmosphere. As it is surrounded by steam when applying pressure and temperature, the water is reevaporated provide dry steam outlet. Humidifier output is surrounded by steam supply pressure to ensure that there will be no condensation or drip at this point. Aclamp-the temperature switch is attached to the condensate drain line to prevent electric or pneumatic operator-the invention of the steam valve until the humidifier to steam temperature.
