Proper design of the system
It is generally well understood that the condensing pressure must be kept to a minimum, and to freely move down as the ambient air temperature decreases. Savings can also be done by a maximum temperature of boiling, and in this respect, the loads should be separated with individual temperature cooling necessary to avoid all compressors operating on suction pressure corresponding to the low temperature of the load. For high temperature lifts attention should be paid to the enhanced cycles, for example, in two stages, or saved cycles, which give an obviously greater efficiency.
The design should take into account the operating conditions under which most of running hours happen. Optimization of these conditions will be more beneficial than one extreme design point calculation. For high performance, single circuit chillers with two compressors can use the whole surface of the coils in the part load conditions.
