Suction Valves Pressure
Many systems use the bellows or diaphragm operated suction pressure-regulating valves on the low side of the system. These valves have to work on multiple systems, in Which evaporators operate at different temperatures.
Some of these valves are used to keep the compressor suction pressure at a safe level. This prevents overload of the compressor. A modified intake valve pressure is necessary in most automotive air conditioning systems. On these systems, compressor operates at different speeds. Valve should maintain a fairly constant temperature in the evaporator.
Suction valves can be controlled pressure in the evaporator. These valves control the temperature in the evaporator. Some of them work from crankcase pressure, to work, to the compressor from overload.
As a crankcase pressure regulator valve modulates (corrects) suction pressure of compressor. This provides overload protection for condensing unit engine. Fig. 5-52 illustrates the low pressure from the regulator installation.
