Refrigerant efficiency issues
Refrigerant type may affect the efficiency of the system up to 10%. Relative productivity and efficiency of the refrigerant depends on the type of compressor and operating conditions. Zeotropic mixtures may provide advantages in capacity and efficiency when used in the correct way (i.e. to take advantage of temperature glide in the evaporator).
Board size is important - too much too little, especially refrigerant can reduce efficiency. It is important that the system is not leaking coolant - insufficient quantity of refrigerant evaporator reduces the wetted surfaces, and leads to increase of overheating. This reduces the suction pressure and increases the temperature lift / Elevator, thus reducing efficiency. Cm. A good Practice guide 178 costs reduction of refrigerant leakage. When the refrigerant is contaminated, for example. from the air, the efficiency of the system is reduced...
