Technical information Air-Conditioning Correct control philosophy

Proper management philosophy

Some points to consider are here
  • Avoid fixed set of head pressure to provide a low temperature condensation available at partial load.
  • Avoid constant speed auxiliary devices-pump and fan should be reduced at low loads, wherever possible.
  • Ensure defrost applies only when needed and then, as efficiently as possible.
For the comfort of air conditioning systems a single comfort condition is often indicated. This can be, for example, 21C and 50% saturation, but the variations within the accepted comfort, the group may reduce cooling and heating costs associated with building thermal profit or loss and for treatment of the proportion of fresh air that is needed. For example, summer, fresh air reduced to 21C, 60% saturation, imposes 4 kJ/kg less than the cooling load and frosty air is raised to 40% saturation requires 4 kJ/kg less heating than 50% of saturation. These changes humidity cannot be detected without the use of tools and have little effect on your personal comfort.

Another consideration is to allow the indoor conditions will vary a bit, depending on environmental conditions.

People dressed in summer conditions when outdoor temperature above 27C will generally be comfortable at room temperature above 21C. for example, the design for maximum London can be adopted 27C dry bulb, but exceed an average of 25 hours/year. Increased cooling power to hold 21C under such conditions, experience shows that short-term lifts can be resolved. Automatic control system can have a bias set point, installed high ambient temperature.
