Removing The Air-Cooled Condensers

Capacitor may need to be replaced due to a leak or other problems. If so, then he should be removed from the system. To remove liquid refrigerant should be removed from the condenser. In addition, the pressure must be adjusted to atmospheric pressure.

Close the valve between the condenser and the liquid receiver. Cleaning of the condenser by removing the sensor plugin from the discharge service valve. Then open the valve to the condenser pressure drop under atmospheric pressure. Do not forget to wear protective glasses! Be careful. There may be oil in the refrigerator. It is best to connect the blowdown line to the sensor valve opening. Run clear line-in container for recovery.

If there is no shut-off valve between the condenser and receiver liquid refrigerant can be stored by pumping it into the cylinder. The refrigerant cylinder, as a rule, must be cooled during this operation. Otherwise, its pressure will quickly rises to dangerous levels. Compressor start with breaks. Place the cylinder in the tub or bucket with cold water or ice water.

Some sendee technicians supply replacement capacitor between the compressor and the maintenance of the cylinder.

This speeds up condensing operation. Liquid receiver may need to be warmed up up to the evaporation of the liquid in it. Use warm water. Never use an open flame. To remove the condenser, first clean the condenser, as well as possible. Brush, vacuum cleaner, air or non-toxic refrigerant jets, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and jets can be used.

Most air-cooled condensers are enclosed in a protective cover. This shroud also serves as a duct. Some of the larger units of these parts from sheet metal heavy. Handle with care. Gloves and safety boots are recommended. Be sure to save the sheet metal screws and/or mounting bolts in the container. Fans, fan brackets, belts, electric motors, may need to be removed in several units. These parts shall be marked and stored for later use. Make sure that the fan blades are not cut or bent. This can get them off of their balance and decrease of their efficiency.

If the electrical connection is removed, label them. Use masking tape and a pencil. Always clean the connection before removing the capacitor units. Immediately connect the refrigerant holes. This keeps the internal refrigerant passes clean and prevent oil spills when you move the capacitor. In order to avoid damage to the plates of the capacitor. Wood or cardboard defenders sealed corners of the fins will provide protection. Because acute fins, always use gloves when lifting or carrying the capacitor...
