Technical information Industrial Servicing Hermetic Compressors

Room Hermetic Compressors

Two types of hermetic compressors of a kind used in refrigerating equipment:
  • Welded motor-compressors.
  • Bolted motor-compressors.
Welded engine-compressors can be with or without fittings. Bolted units usually have them. Tyres bolts motor-compressor units are tested, deleted, and major repairs. Then they are reusable and are installed in a manner similar to conventional compressor. Motor built into the body, usually tested and remanufactured at the same time. Small welded motor-compressors very rarely service valves. Such valves should be installed in the system. One way to do this is to use the line tapping valve. Larger units, as a rule, do not have two-way compressor service valves.

The state of the oil in the compressor is very important. It should be tested to determine its level of acid. In the presence of acids in the oil specifies the oil collapses. It reacts with moisture and refrigerant he contacted. This is usually caused by interruptions in the motor winding insulation, causing localized hot spots.

Verification can be done by removing the oil sample and use of oil test kit. If oil is acidic, the compressor should be carefully monitored.

Oil samples easily merge with serviceable hermehcs. Welded sealants, as a rule, require the dismantling of the compressor motor and drain the oil from the suction line opening. When replacing the engine compressors, always use the exact replacements.
