Technical information Industrial Recovering Refrigerant from a System

Recovery of Refrigerant from the System

If there is no space for the storage of refrigerant in thesys-tem, the refrigerant must be:
  • Stored in the external cylinder.
  • Cleared removed from the system, recovery/recycling equipment.
To remove the refrigerant from the system:
  1. Attach a line from the storage cylinder (if used) to the middle of the hole reservoir.
  2. Clear the line leading from the cylinder. (Seal line in the cylinder and leave it open for the collector.)
  3. The crack on the cylinder valve. The emitted gas will force the air out of line.
  4. Seal line on variety. Close the discharge line of a compressor, turning discharge service valve. Leak testing and startup of the compressor. Pressure shall not exceed the normal condensing pressure, in particular for the refrigerant. Excessive head pressure can avoid cooling refrigerant cylinder with ice or water. They can also be prevented through the compressor run intermittently. (This means, in ten7 a running interrupted for a short rest periods.)
  5. Allow operation of the compressor with all but a discharge valve is open.
  6. Closed compressor shut off by a continuous low pressure is maintained for several minutes.

Never allow the system to pump oil. The hydraulic pressure can lead to severe damage of the compressor and lines.
  7. The operation can be quickened by gently put heat liquid receiver and the evaporator. This should be done cautiously. Use a heat lamp or warm water. Never use a torch because it can melt fuses, sockets and soldered joints. Never allow any part or place is going to become too warm to touch the hand.
  8. When all the refrigerant is pumped from the system and placed in a storage cylinder compressor
  9. Open the low side of the comb, while ram-pound indicator shows 0 psi (14.7 psi or 103.5 kPa). It returns enough refrigerant vapor balancing system pressure throughout the system. Any part of the system can be removed. Put on your glasses! Always leave manifold connected to the system until the system is opened. The system pressure must be known. As mentioned earlier, clean and dry all connections can be opened.
  10. After removal of any parts, refrigerant holes must be immediately terminated.

Ventilation chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and hydro-fluorocarbon (HCFCs) throughout the United States Clean Air Act. Minor releases while connecting, disconnecting, or blowing hoses permitted. Service technicians should be EPA to work on the refrigerant systems. State and local laws must be followed during system maintenance refrigerants.

When cleaning the refrigerant in the pure refrigerant cylinder, purification, and the strings should be attached to the collector center opening. The line is made of 1/4" (6.35 mm) and copper pipes. It should have a hand with a needle valve and check valve installed in it. They must be installed in the collector. Hand needle valve must be located between the non-return valve and manifold. Purge time, manifold high pressure valve is open.

The goal of the hand valve to control the amount of gas are removed. The check valve prevents air or moisture backup unit after a complete cleansing. All refrigerants crude oil content. Therefore, cleansing should be done in oil traps. Always purge in a well-ventilated area. This method cannot be used for ammonia (R-717), smell.. Most communities do not let the cleaning of the refrigerant in the Sewerage system. Check with local codes.

The refrigerant is returned unit can be temporarily stored. It can also be temporarily stored if there are facilities for distillation of alcohol. Pure refrigerant cylinder should be used for storage. Remember that the refrigerant will always have an oil content. Some large companies save all refrigerant, redistill, and to convert it for further use. It is a good practice in terms of economy and ecology.

Federal laws regulate chemicals, disposal. Refrigerant disposal strictly classified folkwing rules. Large quantitative indicators of refrigerants must be stored in metal drums and moved to the registered objects of waste disposal. Cm.
