A Defrost Cycle Evaporators
Many evaporators run in what is called the defrost cycle. While the capacitor works, evaporator temperature low. This causes frost accumulate on it. After the compressor stops, the coil is heated above 32F (0C). Moroz then melts. While the compressor is mimicry, evaporator remain at 20, F-22F (-7C to -6C).
This process of thawing is called air defrosting. He cleans the surface of the evaporator frost and provides effective heat transfer. It also retains a high relative humidityabout 90% to 95%. However, it is the victim of a temperature difference between the evaporator, the refrigerant and air in the office. More evaporator area is required to compensate for this loss.
Defrost the evaporator sometimes is a problem. Top evaporator can defrosting and moisture flowing on the surface of the evaporator. Before she can escape, it may freeze around the bottom of the evaporator. This accumulation of ice on the evaporator coil fins may block air circulation around the evaporator. Such blockage will prevent proper cooling. Fig. 13-49 sketch of the fin type evaporator defrost.
