Outwardly Equalized Bypass Valves
The main function of the DBV is to maintain suction pressure. Thus, the compressor suction pressure is blood pressure control. It should be exerted on the bottom side of the valve, the membrane. When DBV applied as shown in Fig. from 11 to 38, where there is an appreciable difference between the pressure valve and the compressor suction, outwardly equalized valve must be used. This is true because when the valve is opened, the sudden rise in pressure at the valve outlet. This creates a false pressure control, which may lead to internally equalized to close the valve. Many cooling systems and water coolers do not use refrigerant distributors, but may require some method of compressor capacity control.
