Technical information Air-Conditioning Vortex Shedding

Vortex Shedding

Research product in the management of the housing noise has developed a new method to reduce the radiated noise. This method is known as vortex shedding. When applied to terminal boxes, covering noise sharply lowered. Housing-radiation attenuation vortex shedders (CRA) can be installed in single or double duct boxes up to 7000 cfm, as at constant volume or variable volume, with or without a heating coil. CRA devices provide unique opportunities and the following benefits:
  • No changes in the terminal box; box size facilitates installation in remote ceiling Plenum, to ensure minimal noise casing under all conditions
  • Factory of semi-boxes and housing noise eliminator, one-piece Assembly, reduces the cost of installation: only one box hung and only one duct connection
  • Quickly opening the door is provided in the window to assure easy and convenient access to all operational parts without having to cut and patch field teams cabinets
  • Laboratory equipment testing and performance rated, and engineering measurements are made in accordance with industry standards, thus productivity; quiet rooms and a result of owner satisfaction is ensured
