Technical information Air-Conditioning Dehumidifier Control

Drier Management

As mentioned earlier, drier (see Fig. 3-19) operates on the principles of ordinary household refrigerator. It contains the electric drive of compressor, condenser and receiver. The drier the air, the cooling coil takes place evaporator, or chilling unit in the refrigerator. The refrigerant circulates through the dryer in the same way as in the refrigerator. Refrigerant flow is under the control of the capillary tube. In moist air is drawn over the cooled coil with electric fan.

Drier acts through the humidistat (see Fig. 3-20), which starts and stops the machine to save a selected level of humidity. In a typical air dryer, control settings range from dry to very dry for continuous off. For the best works, humidistat knob is usually installed on extra dry for commissioning for a period of 3 to 4 weeks. After this period, special attention should be paid to the dampness in the field of drying. If sweating on cold surfaces stopped and damp smells disappeared, humidistat management should be reset to dry. In this environment, more economical operation is obtained, but the relative humidity is likely to be higher than in extra dry atmosphere.

After 3 or 4 weeks in dry option if moisture condition in the field of drying continued satisfactory operation of the unit should be continued with the control set to this position.

However, if you are installing a damp condition is not fully corrected, control should be returned parameter extra dry. Minor adjustments are generally required from time to time. Remember, that control must be installed near the extra dry to eliminate moisture conditions as close as dry as possible to get the most economical mode.
