Technical information Air-Conditioning Adsorption-Type Dehumidifiers

Adsorption-Type Desiccants Of Air

Adsorption-dehumidifiers type of work on the application of sorbing materials for adsorption of moisture from the air. Sorbents are substances which contain a large number of microscopic pores. These pores afford a large internal surface of the water or adheres adsorbed. Typical drier based on the honeycomb desiccant wheel principle is shown schematically in Fig. 3-21. The wheel is formed of thin corrugated and laminated asbestotsementnye sheets rolled to form wheels of different desired diameter and thickness. Wheels are impregnated with desiccant cure and reinforced with the thermostable binders. Flute hundred wheel form narrow grooves, perpendicular diameter of the wheel. About 75 percent of the wheel face area is available for adsorption or drainage flow circuit, and 25 percent for the reactivation of the chain. In smaller units, re-air is heated by electric; in larger units, heated, electric, steam, gas heaters.

Fig.

3-22 shows other industrial adsorption dehumidifiers from stationary type bed. It has two sets of stationary adsorbing beds are arranged so that one set of air drying, while the other set of drying. With the flaps in the position shown the air for drying flows through one set of beds and drainage during the drying air is heated and circulates in the other set. After the end of the drying beds are cooled by disabling air dryers, heaters and allowing cold air to circulate through them. Automatic controller timer allows the shock absorbers to rotate in the opposite direction, when the beds adsorbed moisture to such an extent that it begins to affect performance.
