Remove Evaporator Units (Dry System)

When you delete a dry evaporator, Fust install manifold and leak testing. Start compressor1 and close LRSV (liquid receiver sendee valve). Compressor start to atmospheric pressure or constant vacuum was produced. Continue execution until the compressor, evaporator and liquid line warm. At this point, all of the liquid refrigerant is removed. For speed, heat evaporator carefully heat lamp or hot water. Never allow it to get warmer to the touch.

Balanced (atmospheric) pressure in the evaporator can be obtained due to warming of the device. Or, this is achieved by bypassing the high-pressure back through the manifold. Fig. 15-68 shows the evaporator is pumped down. Turn the valve in the suction line (A), the closure of the suction line after load.

Check the suction line. If the controller suction pressure or solenoid valve, it should be open. Hot gas injection device or liquid injection device can be connected to the suction line. If so, make sure that the solenoid valves for these units shut-off.

A system can have hands, stop valves for each evaporator multiple installation.

If so, use these valves instead of the compressor service valves. Close the valve liquid line first. Then pump refrigerant from the evaporator. Make sure that there is 0 psi or more evaporator. Close the suction side of the valve and the evaporator is ready for removal.

Switch off the electricity supply to the fan and the solenoid valve on the liquid line (if any). Remove the cover or shroud evaporator carefully. If the electrical defrost elements are mounted in or on the evaporator, disable them.

Clean and dry suction line, where it is connected to the coil. Also clear the input connection. Then detach the suction and liquid line from the evaporator. Plug the hole with all the fittings.
