Installing vibration eliminator on refrigeration lines

Technical information Industrial Installing Tubing

Installation Of Pipes

Tube noncode installations usually run along the walls and ceiling. Supports are used at frequent intervals enough to keep a tube directly and firmly fastened. Special clips are available as mounts tubes. Strip-1/2" (12,7 mm) clip conduit to figure 15-14, enough for most situations. Pipes must be insulated or protected from these clips. Short plastic packing tape will prevent irritation and galvanic effect. (Galvanic action erosion of material, caused by two different metals, touching in the damp air.) Tube passing through the floor or the walls should be protected. Short pipeline or flexible metal pipes (Greenfield) provide sufficient protection. The ends should be sealed with sealant to avoid friction and other troubles. Cm. Fig. 15-15. In all cases, the pipes should be positioned horizontally and vertically, with sharp turns.

Liquid line does not represent any difficulties in relation to the slope and position. Suction pipe should pour in the direction of the compressor. Low spots in the suction line, will accumulate oil return.

The VL-may eventually form of liquid bullet in the tube. This bullet lucky compressor will produce violations in the crankcase and may cause temporary pumping.

Sometimes, the handset has a slope up from the evaporators to the condensing unit. If so, the tube should have a stable downward at a slight angle to a certain point. Then a short U-shaped curve (two streets elbows) should be made. The U-bend will act as an oil trap. This will provide positive oil return to the compressor. Never run a pipeline near any heat sources such as hot water lines, steam lines, furnaces, or. Heat will reduce efficiency.

Copper pipes are usually supplied in 50' (15.2 m) coils. She is dehydrated and sealed at the ends of the manufacturer. On average, small commercial installation 1/4" (6.35 mm) pipes are used for liquid line and 1/2" (12,7 mm) for the suction line. Cm. Chapter 16 for correct size.

During installation, the pipeline should be kept clean. Never put it aside ends open, if it is used immediately. The practical method of installation pipes to untwist 10' (3.04 m). Unroll the coil along the floor. Then run the pipeline through the holes in the floor and the bottom, gradually working it into place.

Quarter-inch pipe is not difficult to install. However, 1 /2 inch (12.7 mm) diameter must be carefully handled to prevent buckling when it is bent. In Bender should be used. In noncode plants, which have a separate line suction and liquid run for main lines, T-fittings can be used. Valves for disable individual evaporators can be located near the evaporator.

Valves, dehumidifiers, or other heavy objects should not be supported by tube. These items should be mounted on a wall or other support. These connections can be SAE tlare type or simplify soldered (sweat) fittings. Newly installed, the pipeline must be sealed immediately after the outbreak or optimize the connections are made. This will hold the handset clean. The pipeline shall be permanently attached to the supports on which it passes.

Always try to run the tube so that support will protect the pipeline from accidents. Many experts use a sponge rubber covering more than tube. Coating serves both as a protection and isolation, figure 1516. This coverage must be placed on the receiver before the Assembly, if hisulation shares.

Pipelines and armature or installations are normally covered with insulating tape. The tube should be placed where it will not be damaged when working with a number of articles. Put loop or unsupported pipe bends, except for the condensing unit.

Install drier sight glass and the liquid line in the condensing unit. Vibration eliminator should be included in both lines. If suitable vibration eliminator is not available, an alternative method may be used. This method to make a horizontal loop soft copper pipes in-line suction and liquid. Carefully examine the manufacturer's installation and maintenance. This will ensure that each Assembly and adjustment is performed correctly.

Copper pipes, as a rule, comes without any special finishes, provided for the inner or outer surface. These tubes will corrode if it will pass through the liquid, food or drinks. It also will corrode if it will pass through the air, saturated acid fumes or aggressive elements. Where sanitation is of paramount importance, tubing with canned surface can be used...
