Constant pressure valve is a harbinger of a thermostatic expansion valve. This is called automatic expansion valve due to the fact that it opens and closes automatically, without the aid of any external mechanical devices. These expansion valves, mainly, pressure regulator. These valves to maintain a constant pressure at outlet. They sense, and not evaporated pressure at a constant value of controlling liquid refrigerant into the evaporator, on the basis of the suction pressure.
