Energy efficiency of air conditioning equipment

The difference in price is not mainly due to the change of the refrigerant, but rather more, heat exchangers and often for design improvements that reduce energy consumption and noise level to meet the requirements of international markets. The report of the International Energy Agency [IEA, SATORU KOIZUMI, 2007] evaluated the impact on energy consumption, improving the efficiency of the requirements of Article 5 countries. In addition, the often weak infrastructure used in the production and distribution of electricity will often overloaded by excessive energy queries coming from high air conditioning loads. The introduction of performance requirements and marking to improve efficiency is vitally important for Article 5 countries.

For Ghana to meet the minimum energy efficiency standards in air conditioners installed estimated to reduce the country's total demand of electricity generated by 8%.
