Shut-Off Valves
Manual shut-off valves used for cooling the duty to interrupt the flow of components, so that they can be removed or climb without having to evacuate the system. These valves, usually from |or share angle type. In addition to their two positions isolation function, as the globe and angle valve type is suitable for dirottling applications where flow of refrigerant must be varied between 0 and 100% of the flow. Angle valves offer the least resistance to the flow, so they should be used whenever practicable.
Gate valves are used mainly in water and brine for the insulation of piping and lines components in larger systems. Pipelines code prohibits the use of valves refrigerant lines, except for large installations where the operating assistant on duty. Valves are very low pressure drop, but they do not close tightly. Their design also prevents them modulation used in applications.
Refrigeration valves are available with or without packaging around the shaft of their stems. Packaging forms a vapor-tight seal between the stationary valve and move the valve stem.
Valves are suitable for cooling debt available in the Packed, and the packless version. Packed valves are designed with the adjusting nuts and back-Seating opportunity to reduce the probability of leakage through the packaging when left in full flow position. Packed valves are also equipped with plugs that fully cover the valve stem, thereby eliminating die leakage when the valve is not used. Packless valves do not have the capability to adjust compression force to die on the package. If they develop a leak around the trunk, they must be replaced.
