Refrigerant Dryers

Refrigerant dryers contain chemical desiccant that adsorbs moisture, holding it so that it can no longer move through the system. Dryer is a cylindrical device filled with desiccant installed in the liquid line of the system as a preventive measure against corrosion or formation of acids because of moisture in the system. The desiccant material can be formed from pellets, pastilles or blocks of porous material, which mechanically locks the moisture molecules on its surface. The perforated plate and the screens are installed inside the kiln shell to prevent desiccant from destruction and pollution of the system. Dryers are recommended for all refrigeration systems using refrigerant freon.
