Valves

Piston compressors can be generally classified by the type of valve, and it depends on the size, with a small volume of work requires a relatively small input and output gas port. The smallest compressors have a spring steel plate valves inlet and outlet valves per cylinder and valve plate (Fig. 4.6). Above the hole, about 40 mm, on the territory of the port, available under the head size is insufficient for both intake and exhaust valves, and at the entrance to moving the piston or ring around the head. The socket or the exhaust valve remains in the Central part of the cylinder head. In most makes, both types of the piston rings round the gas ports, and it is a ring-shaped and is typically referred to as ring plate valves (Fig. 4.7). Ring plate valves are made of a thin spring steel or titanium limited in the Elevator and honestly, light sources, to help even closing and reduce Bouncing.

Although intended for the treatment of only dry gas, liquid refrigerant or traces of oil can sometimes enter the cylinder and have to go through a pressure valve.

They can be organized on the spring-loaded head, which will lift and relieve excess pressure. Some also makes an internal safety valve to release gas from discharge pressure back to the suction inlet. Alternative valve design uses tapered exhaust valve in the center of the cylinder head, ring plates, valve suction surrounding it. This design is used in compressor holes up to 75 mm Valve and cylinder head design is very much influenced by the need to keep the three-dimensional design (q.v.) to a minimum.
