Dry Filters

Dry filters, as a rule, in conventional units rated capacitance and resistance to the passage of air. During the installation is designed, wide area of the filter should be included so that the speed of the air flowing through the filters are not excessive; otherwise, the correct filter will not be protected. The proper area is achieved through the installation of a necessary number of filters on the iron frame. Adry filter (Fig. 3-7) can be provided with permanent filter material from which dirt and dust should be removed with pneumatic or vibration. Or, may be provided with an inexpensive means of filter that can be used, if loaded with dirt and replaced by a new plate.

Dry filter type is called a dry plate. Cells consist of a series of perforated aluminium plates, arranged in series and covered with noncombustible thread. Air drawn through the cell divides into thin streams at the perforation so that the dust particles are thrown against thread airflow direction between the plates.
Thread tentacles keep dust particles and are used for cleaning of air. Dust particles are deposited on the intermediate flat surfaces. When the record is loaded with dirt and requires cleaning, it can be done in two ways.

In medium-sized installations, the operator removes cells from sectional frame, lies one edge of the table or on the floor, and carefully rape opposite side of the open hand, causing the collected dirt cast and restore the efficiency of the filter. Big installations (Fig. 3-8), where a large number of elements, which are used or where abnormally high dust found to use a mechanical vibrator put in a cage and knocked on for about a minute to release it from dust. Under normal conditions, dust, cells should be removed or replaced twice a year.
