Modified vapour absorption cycle

Technical information The refrigeration cycle Absorption cycle

Absorption cycle

Pairs can be removed from the evaporator absorption in a liquid (Fig. 2.12) . Two combinations in use, absorption ammonia - gas in water and water vapour absorption in lithium bromide. The latter is non-toxic and therefore can be used to Air conditioning. The use of water as a refrigerant in this combination the limits of their system above freezing point. Refrigerant vapour at the outlet of the evaporator is in the absorber liquid absorber, which is injected into the camera. The resulting solution (or liquor) into the condenser vapour pressure rode in the generator and direct heating. High-pressure refrigerant gas allocated can then be reduced in the usual manner, and returned through the expansion valve and the evaporator.

Weak alcoholic drinks from the generator passed through another valve absorber. The overall thermal efficiency heat exchanger between the two liqueur ways and suction-to-liquid heat exchanger refrigerant, Fig.

2.13. Power liquor pump, as a rule, electricity and heat energy to the generator can be any form of low-potential energy, such as oil, gas, hot water or steam. Solar radiation can also be used. The total energy consumption by more than compression cycle so , the COP below. Typical figures are given in Table 2.2.

Absorption systems can be used to advantage where there is a cheap source of low-potential heat, or where there are severe restrictions of electrical power. The modified system ammonia-water absorption cycle was designed for a small household refrigerators.
